JARRA Projects

These are three projects that I have worked on while attending NNU through our film group JARRA.

The first, "Just to Be with You", was a submission to Apple's Insomnia Film Festival that we produced, shot, and edited within 24 hours. For this shoot I was Key Grip as well as Gaffer; my favorite part was simulating the light reflecting onto the faces of the viewers in the theater. (HDV 2007)

The second, "Optio", was a submission to the BEA Festival (Broadcast Education Association). This was JARRA's first project so there were only four of us; on this shoot I was Best Boy and Key Grip. We were really tested with the lighting because of the two bright windows and we only had two Lowell lighting kits. (HDV 2007)

The third, "Pandora's Box", was my senior film that is still a work in progress. I wrote the script, produced it, directed it, and have been editing it through some technical difficulties. This was my first real directorial debut and I have learned so much through this whole process; my greatest challenge has been to recreate the audio track because shooting outdoor locations come with many downfalls i.e. wind, interstate traffic, and generators. Sorry there is no audio yet. (16mm 2008)
